July 4th falls on a Wednesday this year and it coincides with the Sunset Beach Concert Series! Come on out and join the fun directly across from our office and bring in The Fourth with The Blue Pickups Band! These Nashville recording artists will take to the stage for an Exclusive Summer Concerts appearance. Along with the entertainment, food will also be available for purchase from The Dawg Wagon Food Truck, Papa John's Pizza & Wings, Dixieland Kettle Corn and Sunset Slush Classic Italian Ice. When you’ve got your hands full of Italian ice and kettle corn, be sure to stop by Riptide Builder’s tent to enter for a chance to win a $500 Amazon gift card!!!
Grab your loved ones and lawn chairs and enjoy an amazing evening! The concert starts at 7 pm but we advise you to arrive early to get the seat you want.
* The 2018 concerts are located in the large field in The Village at Sunset Beach which is on Sunset Boulevard North at the intersection of Park Road North, East of the Planetarium.
Start the holiday off early with games, activities and a small concert on July 3rd at the Old Bridge. Put together by volunteers from the Old Bridge Preservation Society, the event kicks off at 6 pm. Remember to bring water and lawn chairs.
On July 4th starting at 9 am join Sunset Beach for their 4th of July parade. The town encourages everyone to amp up their holiday decoration skills! Get those bicycles, wagons, and outfits decked out in red, white and blue. The parade will be across the Old Bridge while patriotic music will fill the air. Everyone is encouraged to ride or march across the bridge. The Old Bridge is located at 109 Shoreline Drive West in Sunset Beach.
If you love parades, continue the holiday party in the Southport! You can partake in the celebrated parade in the heart of Southport, just a few towns East of Sunset Beach. Southport has celebrated Independence Day like no other for over 200 years. Folks come from across the Carolinas to be a part of it. The parade starts at 11 am at the intersection of Moore and Howe Street. There will also be a fantastic waterfront firework show beginning at 9 pm.
